We received an email at www.sweatsuits.co.uk some weeks ago from a gentleman who had been frequently attending Bikram Yoga classes. He thoroughly enjoyed his classes but for work related reasons he could no longer make the alloted class times. The up side to the situation was that he had reached the compentcy levely whereby he was able to practise at home. The only problem with that idea was that it was costing him a fortune in heating the room each day in order to create the atmosphere needed for Bikram Yoga.

The gentleman had the idea of using our sweat suits to help him achieve this. I listened intently as he reasoned that it was far cheaper and safer than filling the room with candles and heaters. I found this a novel idea and the more I thought about it the more I agreed with his notion.

We assigned a member of our team who practises Yoga to experiment with the suit and see if we had developed a new niche. His findings were very positive, he was able to complete his session whilst still sweating a feeling the usual temperature rise. The thermogenic effect of the Swelter sauna suit took effect after a little as two minutes of starting the exercise. One of the most notable benefits of practising Bikram Yoga in the sauna suit as opposed to doing without it was that at the end of his session all he had to do was go to the bathroom and take off his suit over the bath and there was no excess sweat being dripped around the house. On reflection I feel a bit silly for not picking up on the idea before!

So if anyone out there is looking for a novel way to practise Bikram Yoga in a home environment and don't fancy setting their room on fire in the process they why not try using one of our sauna suits?

1. Find Personal Motivation to Exercise

What you need to get you up off the couch is a reason that's important to you. There are all kinds of benefits to getting fit. Which matters most to you?

  1. ·         lose weight
  2. ·         strengthen your bones
  3. ·         build your muscles
  4. ·         reduce your risk of illness and some types of cancer
  5. ·         By becoming active, you're being a good role model for your children.

These benefits may get you started, but they may not cut it when it comes to keeping you moving day after day. To keep up your motivation to exercise over time, you also need to find your internal motivators. Maybe taking a yoga class leaves you feeling more energized or less stressed. Maybe a run or walk every day helps you let go of stress!

2. Set Realistic Goals to Get Fit

People lose their motivation to exercise when they try to do too much too soon. So instead of walking for 30 minutes a day right off the bat, start out doing 15 minutes a day, two or three days a week.

Set weekly goals, gradually adding more time and intensity. Remember that doing any exercise in the Swelter sweat suit will help in fast weight loss and fat burning. At the end of each week, take a look at how you did. If you reached your goal, celebrate! If you didn't reach your goal, think about what went wrong and how you're going to respond differently next time.

3. Stop Thinking of It as Exercise -- Do Something You Enjoy

Do anything that gets you -- and your family -- moving:

  1. ·         Walk the dog, or walk a neighbour's dog. They'll be grateful for the help!
  2. ·         Go to the park and play hide-and-seek.
  3. ·         Walk or bike instead of driving, or park far away from your destination.
  4. ·         Get off the train a stop early and walk the rest of the way to your office.

If you think about it, you're surrounded by opportunities to get more active. Find the ones that you get excited about. You're more likely to keep doing them if you're having fun.

4. Plan How to Fit Exercise into a Hectic Schedule

For busy parents, a major obstacle to getting fit is lack of time. If you wait for time to open up, chances are you won't be able to squeeze in a walk very often. To avoid getting side tracked by the daily demands of life, try these tips:

  1. ·         Sit down with your schedule and carve out blocks of time
  2. ·         Add physical activity to things you already do. For example take a walk with a friend to catch up instead of calling each other on the phone.
  3. ·         Plan activities you can do with your kids, such as going for bike rides or skating, you'll help inspire your kids to move more this way.

5. Bounce Back From Setbacks

You've set a reasonable fitness goal. You've prepared for potential problems. Yet somehow you still didn't make it to the gym today as you had planned. Don't let that be your downfall.

When this happens, it's time for an attitude adjustment so you don't completely lose your motivation to exercise. If you miss the gym on Monday, that doesn't mean your whole week is shot. It simply means you need to hit the gym on Tuesday or take the dog for an extra-long walk tonight.

Start thinking of yourself as someone who exercises, eventually, that will become your identity.

When choosing a slimming product you may ask yourself why chose the Swelter Sweat Suit over a sauna belt?

The answer really is simple, both the sweat suit and the sauna belt have great benefits for fast weight loss. However the great advantage that the sweat suit has is that the sauna suit provides and maximises a full body work out to help burn fat from all areas of the body. The whole body is heated and therefore each muscle group is working twice as hard. This in turn increases metabolism. However with the sauna belt you are only targeting one specific area (your tummy). Although the sauna belts are effective at toning the abs that is the only benefit they have over the sweat suit.

Sauna Belt

Sauna Suit

Helps tone abs by burning fat for a slimmer stomach

Helps lose fat from all over the body including abs resulting in a more toned figure

Keeps skin healthy

Increases metabolism

Can be used to support your back

Increases blood circulation

Easily hidden underneath clothing

Promotes healthy skin

Proven to reduce chance of injury during warm up

Looks like a conventional tracksuit and can be worn anywhere without attracting unwanted attention

In conclusion we have learnt that both the sweat suit and sauna belt have great benefits for weight loss. Both increase blood circulation, burn fat and tone muscles but only the sauna suit can provide a full body slim down, the sauna belt merely targets one area.

Weight loss is a common problem amongst jockeys today. A study by the University of Aberdeen found that 91 per cent of professional jockeys used rapid weight-loss methods compared to 73 per cent of amateurs. Jockeys have resorted to anything from skipping cutting out meals to vomiting after eating them.

Despite a recent influx of nutritionists and dieticians the weight loss conundrum is still very prevalent. We at Swelter are keen to provide as much advice as possible to jockeys wanting to lose weight. Top athletes from a variety of sports use our sweat suit to help make weight in a safe and natural way. Sauna suit weight loss for Jockey's can be done effectively by incorporating our sweat suit into regular exercise. The sweat suit increases metabolism and encourages the body to burn more calories and therefore lose more fat and get to a lower weight much more quickly than through exercise alone.

We recommend always keeping as hydrated as possible when training in the sweat suit. This is so that you don't become dehydrated and lose only water weight which is unhealthy.

Our Swelter sauna suit helps intensify exercise and burn fat, not just water weight!

A Sauna Suit is also known as a Sweat Suit it is worn during exercise to lose weight fast.  It is designed to be worn to create a sauna effect within the sweat suit to raise the body temperature.  This causes the body to sweat whilst raising your metabolism and increasing the calories burned for weight loss.

Andreas Sauna Suit Weight Loss Review

Arsenal FC fan Andreas started using Swelter suits to exercise in three years ago and during that time he has lost an amazing 11 stone (154lbs or 70kgs)!  Whilst Arsenal FC has failed to win a major trophy during that time, Andreas can celebrate his remarkable life changing weight loss!

Circuit Training in the sauna suit

An exercise "circuit" is one completion of a set number of exercises (or stations) in the program; the idea being that when one circuit is complete, you start at the first exercise again for another circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.

Circuit training is a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training designed to be easy to follow, give you a great workout, and target fat loss, build muscle and lose weight. Circuit training is a great fat burning exercise program for people wanting to lose weight quickly or improve fitness levels.

Advantages of Circuit Training

Circuit training is usually done in partners or small groups. This can be great for motivation!

  • Can be adapted for any size workout area in a gym, office or as a home workout.
  • Develops strength and endurance
  • Simple exercises make each person feel a sense of achievement in completing them
  • Can be easily structured to provide a full body workout.
  • No expensive gym equipment.
  • Exercises for all abilities.

Exercises

Circuit Training using the Swelter Sauna Suit is a great way to slim down, lose weight and burn fat from your body. In each circuit try to ensure that no two consecutive exercises work the same muscle group. e.g. do not have press ups followed by pull ups.

A circuit should be set up so that you work each body part as follows:

  • Arms (Upper-body)
  • Legs (Lower-body)
  • Stomach (Core & Trunk)
  • Total-body

The following are examples of exercises that can be used in a circuit training session:

 Arms (Upper-body)

Press ups, Snake Press ups, Bench dips, Pull ups, Medicine ball exercises, Bench lift, Inclined press up.

 Legs (Lower-body)

Squat jumps, Tuck Jumps, Compass (Star) jumps, Astride jumps, Step ups, Shuttle runs, Sprints on the spot, Bench squat.

 Stomach (Core & trunk)

Sit ups (lower abdominals), Stomach crunch (upper abdominals), Back extension chest raise, Dorsal Raise.

Total-body

Burpees, Treadmills, Squat thrusts, Skipping.

A Basic Circuit for beginners

(10 of each exercise, to begin take a 20 second break in between exercises as your fitness improves you will be able to shorten your break time.)
